DOCOMO home denwa
homeでんわ hōmu denwa
DOCOMO's fixed-phone service that connects an ordinary telephone to an HP01 adapter and uses the DOCOMO mobile network without line construction.
An eligible existing local fixed number can often be ported, subject to area and number conditions. The adapter, a plan, a telephone and mains power are required. DOCOMO says opening commonly takes about one to two weeks, so it is not necessarily active on the application day.
Check equipment price, handling and number-continuation fees, set discounts, fax and attached-device compatibility, unavailable numbers, emergency-call behavior, registered-address restriction and what stops working on the previous telephone service after the change.
