Payment

Adverse credit status / idō

A serious status shown in a credit record, such as a payment delay of 61 days or more or three months or more, depending on the applicable definition.

A short, quickly corrected missed debit and an 'adverse status' are not the same label, but every missed payment should be dealt with immediately. Monthly payment symbols and balances can still show the history before the status reaches the adverse threshold.

An adverse record does not disappear the day the arrears are paid. It can remain until the information's retention period ends. Use an official disclosure report to see what is actually registered instead of relying on the informal expression 'blacklisted'.
